Putin on Trump: He's not my bride, and I'm not his groom”

Russia will sue for the protection of Russian diplomatic property in USA courts after the Trump administration closed the Russian consulate in San Francisco and seized the Russian trade mission in Washington, D.C. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told American Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson about the decision over the phone.

Putin said Tuesday that Moscow could force the United States to remove an additional 155 personnel from facilities across the country, CNN reported.

"When discussing global relations, Lavrov pointed out that the seizure of Russian diplomatic property on USA soil was a flagrant violation of worldwide norms", the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, RT reported.

"If we talk about full parity, then it is not 455 USA diplomats in Moscow, but [455] minus 155", he told reporters at the closing of the BRICS summit in China.

The US also issued a statement justifying its closure of Russian diplomatic posts by saying that it was restoring "parity" after Russia's order to close several US consulates in the country and cut the numbers of American diplomatic staff in July. "We will see how things proceed first".

However, Putin refrained from making any criticism of US President Donald Trump and dismissed a question about whether he was disappointed in Trump as "naive".

Russian officials cheered Mr. Trump when he was elected previous year, and Putin praised him as someone who wanted to improve ties with Russia.

"[The United States] has committed an obvious violation of property rights", he said. "So strictly speaking, the number of American diplomats in Moscow should be not 455 but 155 fewer, if we are talking about parity", he said.

"The fact that America has reduced our number of our diplomatic institutions is their right. We will see how the situation develops". "So, for starters, I would advise the Foreign Ministry to take the matter to court".

"I think it would be totally not right on our part to discuss possible developments of the situation inside the US itself", Putin added. "That doesn't speak well of our American partners".

"It's hard to deal with people who confuse Austria and Australia, but there's nothing you can do about this", Putin said. The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, said that North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un appeared to be "begging for war". By this, he means that it is not his place to be happy or unhappy with Trump, because they do not have any kind of personal relationship.

Putin also blasted calls for Russian Federation to join sanctions against North Korea shortly after slapping Russian Federation itself with broad financial sanctions.
