Huge iPhone 8 leaks detail Face ID, Portrait Mode 2.0 and Animoji”

While Apple is also expected to launch the standard upgrades, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, iPhone 8 is going to be the show-stopper.

There have been rumours and speculations about the new iPhone, but nothing can be certain until its makers itself take the covers off on September 12.

Another leaked report suggests that the iPhone 8 might house Face ID - akin to Touch ID. For one thing, their background-blurred portrait photos will look more stunning thanks something called Portrait Lighting.

iOS 11 GM has allegedly been leaked to 9to5Mac revealing new details about the "iPhone 8" including Portrait Lighting, True Tone Display, new video recording resolution and capture speeds, and more.

Judging by these leaks, it now looks like we can expect three new iPhones, at least one, new Apple Watch, a new 4K ready Apple TV and slightly redesigned AirPods. It's possible this Portrait mode enhancement could be related to the flash when shooting.

Portrait Lighting is rumored to be a Portrait Mode refinement that uses the dual-lens camera depth-sensing capabilities to create different lighting effects.

In addition to Portrait Lighting the new iPhone 8, or perhaps even 7s and 7s Plus, will be able to take Full HD video in fantastic 240 frames per second, and even doubles the 4K video framerate to 60 fps. The display is touted to support 1125x2436 pixels resolution.

The new leak reiterates the bezel-less design without any Home Button at the front in the form of an icon.

The iOS 11 firmware also includes instructions on enabling SOS mode, which is done by pressing the power and power switch as indicated above. Lucky for us, the aspect which everyone awaits the most - wallpapers, has been updated too. But the good news is Apple appears confident in Face ID.

The Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Note 8 have a face unlock feature. Apple might bid adieu to fingerprint scanner this time. The sleep/wake button is now called the side button and can invoke Siri and Apple Pay cards.

Apple's Home Button hasn't only served the goal of a fingerprint scanner, but also adds more uses like accessing multitasking menu and activating Siri.
