Superman Shields A Group Of Undocumented Immigrants From A White Supremacist”

Superman saves a group of immigrants from a hate crime in the latest issue of Action Comics, and fans and critics are divided over the message DC Comics is sending.

Some of you asked me if Action Comics 987 really shows who Mr. Oz is.

The mustachioed cartoon villain displays all characteristics of a cliched, poor blue-collar American-wearing a blue work shirt and red-white-and-blue bandana.

Gun in hand, he threatens veiled women and rails at Hispanic workers, accusing them of stealing his job. You've stolen my work! For this you will pay!

A Fox News radio host and columnist doesn't like the idea of Superman protecting immigrants from being massacred.

"Instead of rounding up the illegals and flying them back to where they came from, the Man of Steel snatches the white guy and with a menacing look snarls, 'The only person responsible for the blackness smothering your soul - is you, '" Starnes wrote.

In 2015, Dylann Roof, a white supremacist, shot and killed nine black worshipers at a Charleston, South Carolina church.

The comic-books americans tried to address most of the issues of society for a few years, to better acceded to the debates that agitated the country.

For instance, Marvel Comics launched a half-black, half-Hispanic version of Spider-Man in 2011.

While the decision was criticised by many, some have praised the decision, including those angered by the Superman comic, including the right-wing publication Breitbart who seem angered the super-powered alien no longer recognises being American but a citizen of the world.

In the plot, Kal-El (Superman's real name) strives to reconcile his extra-terrestrial origins along with his new life on Earth.

Superman is in effect an immigrant, who left his doomed home planet Krypton when he was a baby and was taken in and adopted by an American couple in Kansas, in the rural United States heartland. Superman's story is analogous to the flight of European immigrants in the 1930s seeking peace and prosperity in the United States.

"Man of steel", whose costume is constructed from the flag the star-spangled banner, grew up on a farm and perfectly embodies the american dream.
