Marcus Mariota questionable to play against Indianapolis Colts this week

Marcus Mariota questionable to play against Indianapolis Colts this week”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The decision of who will start at quarterback for the Tennessee Titans will likely linger until game day for the second consecutive week.

The current-Tennessee Titans quarterback and former St. Louis star is listed as questionable to play this Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts after missing last week with a hamstring injury.

Mariota missed Week 5 due to the hamstring injury and with his return, the Colts will have an even tougher time defending the run against a unit that is No. 2 in the league in yards per rush.

"It might be a game-time decision", Mularkey said. Can he play and not risk himself further injury?

With Monday evening's matchup still more than 24 hours away, Paul Kuharsky is now reporting that Mariota will indeed play against the Colts after all.

Mariota was able to participate in team reps during Friday's practice. Mularkey said Mariota could play at less than 100 percent but remains tired of putting him in a position where he could re-injure himself.

Veteran backup Matt Cassell filled in for Mariota last week against the Dolphins, completing 21-of-32 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown in the Titans' 16-10 defeat.
