After a chilly weekend, high temperatures will start to climb back up into the 50s by midweek.

The winter blast will have a few days left in NY this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today's National Weather Service forecast: Rain and snow showers before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday night is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 33.

Temperatures will reach a high of 49 degrees and 47 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, forecasters predicted.

Unseasonably cool weather continues today with clouds moving in tonight, bringing a chance of rain or even snow showers. Expect a 30 percent chance of showers after 8 p.m.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 50 and a low around 38. The high temperature Saturday through Friday at Timberline Lodge is expected to exceed freezing one day, on Sunday, and only slightly at that. We'll stay mostly cloudy with a chance of rain throughout most of the week.
