Holy Crap, The First Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Is Here

Holy Crap, The First Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Is Here”

As we've heard on countless occasions now, the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel are set to serve as a "finale" of sorts for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, kickstarting a new wave of films for Phase Four and beyond.

So everybody at Marvel including the studio's president. The first trailer is here.

Thanos (Josh Brolin), the powerful cosmic entity behind numerous events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, arrives on Earth to finish collecting the "Infinity Stone" gems that will make him all-powerful.

"There will be two distinct periods. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting".

Anyway, if the trailer can be believed, the comic book dynasty that Stan Lee built on interlocking storytelling and promiscuous character crossovers will get its ultimate movie expression in this second Avengers sequel, and that's all we could hope for at this point. "The Avengers is nothing more than a team name without any team members", it adds.

"Can Earth's Mightiest Heroes put aside their differences and unite once more?". Do they even stand a chance against the Mad Titan who delights in their failure and desperation? There's a shot of Spider-Man wearing his Iron Spider armor; Thanos ripping out an Infinity stone from Vision's head; Iron Buster on the move again; Scarlet Witch looking relieved to see Captain America; Falcon flying over a massive battle; and more shots of Thanos being a badass with his Infinity Gauntlet.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers responsible for the last two "Captain America" movies, and scheduled to hit North American theaters May 4, 2018, "Infinity War" will be the first of a two-movie wrap-up to the current phase of Marvel's unprecedented - and incomparably successful - superhero cinematic universe building.
