Samsung Patent Tips Phone With Wraparound Display

Samsung Patent Tips Phone With Wraparound Display”

Many rumors have been claiming that Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone.

A new Samsung patent that was published today shows a smartphone with a wraparound display making it a dual-sided display smartphone.

A phone using this new display would continue to work like a standard handset using the front display.

LetsGoDigital is the one, who has reported about Samsung Display patent application. Unfortunately, there is very little written about the device in the patent, which as per documents, was filed to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on September 2, 2016. Moreover, the phone will have touchscreen capabilities on the front and back and system icons can be seen on both sides.

It used to be the case that is was quite hard to differentiate Samsung and Apple smartphones, but Samsung made things a lot clearer when it incorporated a curved edge display into the Galaxy range. Samsung has recently registered a patent, which reveals a smartphone sporting a wraparound display. Its latest patent, however, forgoes the option to physically manipulate the display in favour of wrapping it around the device.
