Nazareth cancels Christmas celebration over Trump Jerusalem move

Nazareth cancels Christmas celebration over Trump Jerusalem move”

This is nothing more, or less, than recognition of reality. "We refuse Trump's decision".

In a live speech broadcast to crowds in Konya, 150 miles south of the capital, Ankara, Erdogan said that Turkey would first seek annulment in the Security Council and, if that were unsuccessful, in the General Assembly.

The protest was Fantastic, successful and energetic, there was so many people from different counties raised a voice in support for Palestine.

A total of sixteen Muslim countries participated in the summit, including Egypt.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas gave a fiery speech at an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this week, in which he urged the global community to roll back its recognition of Israel and said the Palestinians would no longer work with the U.S. as a mediator in peace talks. Since Israel's declaring a country "the leader of the Arab world" is a significant indicator that convinces Arab communities to the exact opposite of the statement, and since it has become evident that Saudi Arabia's image will be tarnished with the final declaration as the country shows only low-level attendance to the OIC, King Salman was eventually obliged to announce two-weeks after Trump's decision that they found the decision unfortunate.

Leaders called the United States decision to proclaim Jerusalem as the capital of Israel "irresponsible, null and void", and said it serves "in the interest of extremism and terrorism".

However, anger at the decision remains palpable.

In Jordan, thousands of people also demonstrated on Friday in the latest round of protests called by the Muslim Brotherhood, burning Israeli and American flags.

Since Trump's announcement, Hamas has announced a third intifada, and Israeli and Palestinian forces have exchanged rocket attacks and airstrikes following the recognition.

The Trump administration's decision has forced even potential U.S. allies to distance themselves from the White House. "The decision (by U.S. President Donald Trump about Jerusalem) has taken away the joy of the holiday, and we will thus cancel festivities this year".

Yet Erdogan's fierce rhetoric over the fallout has still sparked criticism.

Trump's announcement has caused a chill in US diplomatic relations with the Palestinian government.
