Chiyaan Vikram's Rs 300 Cr multilingual film Mahavir Karna”

He will be playing the lead role in the epic fiction "Mahavir Karna", to be directed by RS Vimal that directed the crucially acclaimed Malayalam super hit "Ennu Ninte Moideen".

On Sunday, Vikram made a surprise announcement on Instagram hinting his current mindset. Originally, Vimal had planned to make the film with Prithviraj and the announcement was made early a year ago. It was claimed to have a budget of Rs.300 crores and the project was launched in a grand way at Dubai. "When the film was announced, I thought could pull it off in Rs 60 crore but the final estimate was much higher and that is why I was unable to fund Karnan", said Venu in an interview.

Now the makers of Mahavir Karna has officially confirmed that the film will be made at a gigantic budget of Rs 300 Cr and the shoot will commence from October 2018. Also, it is rumoured that Vikram might act in a Kamal Haasan's production as well.

To be predominantly shot in Hindi, Mahavir Karna will also be dubbed in other regional languages like Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Saamy Square is the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster Saamy, and is helmed by Hari.

On the other side now Vikram is busy in his ongoing two projects Saamy Square and Dhruva Natchathiram.

Now Vimal has announced Mahavir Karna, starring Tamil superstar Vikram. The film will have Malayalam and Hindi version and will be ready for release in 2019.
