UoH student dies in road accident in Hyderabad”

A Hyderabad Central University (HCU) student was killed and two of her friends were injured after their auto hit a road divider on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) here in the early hours today, police said. The deceased has been identified as a 23-year-old girl who was coming from her friend's birthday party along with two of her friends who also sustained minor injuries.

Police said the auto was being driven at a high speed and this led to the accident. Nikhita and Nitin were undergoing treatment. The doctors declared Goel brought dead, police said. Both have been shifted to hospital and are being treated for their injuries. A case has been registered and a Further investigation is underway, police added.

Police shifted the body to government-run Osmania Hospital and informed Ananya's family about the accident.

Police have recovered an alcohol bottle from the vehicle and suspect that the three were under the influence of alcohol while driving.

"Blood samples of the injured have been collected to determine whether they had consumed liquor", an investigating official told reporters.
