Chidiebere Nwakali joins Aberdeen on loan from Manchester City

Chidiebere Nwakali joins Aberdeen on loan from Manchester City” has been told Manchester City youngster Chidiebere Nwakali moved to Aberdeen of Scotland in a bid to enjoy regular playing time that would enhance his chances of featuring for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russian Federation.

Nwakali has linked up with his new teammates at their warm winter training camp in Dubai.

The midfielder joined City in 2014 after impressing for Nigeria at the U17 World Cup in 2013.

He was immediately signed by Premier League giants Manchester City who sent him on loan to Malaga of Spain in 2015.

He spent the 2016 season with Start in the Tippeligaen, Norway's top flight, making 22 appearances and scoring three times as the club were relegated in bottom spot.

And he's now thrilled to get the go-ahead with Nwakali snapped up until the end of the season. Nwakali's goal is Sogndal's second, 1:40 into the video.

Nwakali's move to Aberdeen continues the recent trend of City players heading north of the border in search of first team football.
