Prepare To Brave Darkest Dungeon On Nintendo Switch Next Week”

Developer Red Hook Studios announced that Darkest Dungeon will release for the Nintendo Switch eShop on January 18th, 2018, and will bring over the acclaimed indie to the system for those that might want to take the action on the go. As you explore the dungeons and catacombs beneath your dilapidated manor, and the bad lands around it, you'll encounter and battle ever-more unsettling sights.

It's a tough, punishing, and enjoyably strategic experience, requiring a lot of grit and a fair amount of luck to best its otherworldly terrors. "In addition, both of our now released DLCs, The Crimson Court and The Shieldbreaker will be available for purchase on release!". They also confirmed the Switch version will support touch controls, a relative rarity in Switch titles so far. There's no confirmed United Kingdom price just yet, but other versions come in around £18-£19 over here, so hopefully the Switch will be similar.

The Darkest Dungeon Switch release date being January 18 will also have both The Crimson Court and The Shieldbreaker available on release with prices being $24.99, $9.99, and $3.99, respectively.

Either way, once again the Darkest Dungeon Switch release date will be on January 18, so if you don't have a PC that can play it, but do have a Switch, you can buy it and all of its DLC on that date.

"We don't have any current plans for an Android version", community manager John Lindvay said in the announcement post.
