Weather Outlook: Snow, ice may create travel issues this weekend”

Snowfall accumulations are expected to be minor through Friday afternoon.

Sioux Falls is set to get slammed by another round of winter weather - including up to 4 inches of snow.

Temperatures are expected to warm Thursday, with rain showers moving in and leading to heavier rain and temperatures near 50 degrees on Friday.

This weather will be a drastic change from earlier in the week, with temperatures in the low 60s on Wednesday and Thursday. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

High temperatures are expected to be in the 30s in Kalispell through the weekend with lows in the 20s.

A slight chance of drizzle before 7pm, then a chance of rain between 7pm and 9pm, then snow after 9pm.

Thursday... Partly to mostly cloudy with a high in the upper teens to around 20.

Thursday Night: Snow. Low around -2. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 miles per hour in the morning.

It said much colder air will return Saturday night, with increasing chances of lake-effect snow showers Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of rain. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Northeast wind around 5 miles per hour becoming southeast after midnight. Northwest wind around 10 miles per hour. "There is a chance for a light accumulation of snow which could affect travel across central Kansas especially along and north of I-70." the Forecasters said.
