West Ham open to offers for Mexico striker Javier Hernandez

West Ham open to offers for Mexico striker Javier Hernandez”

West Ham United are open to offers for striker Javier Hernandez during this month's transfer window, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

The Hammers believed they had pulled off a major coup when they landed Mexico's all-time leading goalscorer from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for a fee of £16million.

In 17 league appearances so far this term, an under-serviced Hernandez has come up with only four goals and has struggled to get back to grips with Premier League action.

The Mexico worldwide goal machine has made 21 appearances across all competitions for West Ham, scoring four goals in the process, however he is yet to find the net since October.

'Sky sources understand West Ham would also be willing to sell forwards Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll if the right price was offered, ' reads the article, with Chelsea reportedly interested in Carroll.

The experienced Hernandez, who has 99 caps for Mexico, has continued to feature under the new manager but is struggling for goals and the Hammers are apparently willing to part company with the 29-year-old.

West Ham would want to recoup the money they spent on the Mexico global and with Diafra Sakho also linked with an exit from the London Stadium, may also want to sign a replacement before letting both forwards go.
