The Papers, Please short film is out now

The Papers, Please short film is out now”

While I can't say I'm pining for a sequel, this film satiates my thirst for some more Papers, Please quite well. Clocking in at roughly 10 minutes, the film beautifully captures the mood and setting of the game, though it doesn't have as numerous moral quandaries that made for such gut wrenching decisions in the title.

The film absolutely nails the look, sound and feel of the superb dystopian document thriller, with a cool nod to the quick-fire puzzle element of the game. While the film obviously can't match the exact feelings that come from having to make tough moral decisions in the game, it does its best to capture the overall bleak mood of the Cold War-era world.

The live-action short film adaptation of Papers, Please is now out and available to watch for free on Steam.
