Trump Would Remove Women Deemed "Too Ethnic" From Miss Universe

Trump Would Remove Women Deemed

Donald Trump was so eager to have Vladimir Putin attend the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow that he wrote a personal letter to the Russian president inviting him to the event, according to multiple people familiar with the document...

Another former Miss Universe staffer similarly tells them that Trump would weed out candidates who were too "dark-skinned".

The report, published as excerpts from Isikoff and Corn's upcoming book "Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin's War on America and the Election of Donald Trump", comes on the heels of a similar report accusing Trump of rigging the pageant to favor contestants from countries he had business deals with.

According to pageant staffers, Trump would watch videos of the finalists in his private room backstage and review the judge's decisions before the final telecast. "If there were too many women of color, he would make changes", a Miss Universe staffer later noted.

Another staffer alleged that Trump, 71, had a specific "type" such as 2012 victor Olivia Culpo and Dayanara Torres, who took home the crown in 1993, as well as 'East European women'.

After "Fire and Fury" by Michael Wolff, which detailed the chaotic affairs of the Trump White House, another book has emerged which recounts the shady dealings of President Donald Trump with Putin-linked oligarchs, his invitations to raunchy sex parties and his discrimination in the Miss Universe pageant.

Another staffer claimed that Trump once rejected a woman who 'snubbed his advances'.

Staffers added that some women would be saved from Trump's scathing pecking order if the women of color had a certain privilege.

"He often thought a woman was too ethnic or too dark-skinned", the staffer explains.

Shi Lim, who competed as Miss Singapore in 2013, told the New Yorker: 'The finalists were picked by Trump. He also demanded unscented soap, rolled towels not folded ones and no "distracting" pictures on his walls.

Paula Shugart, the president of the Miss Universe Organization would at times challenge Trump on his choices, but was not always successful, according to the excerpt. "We called it the Trump card".
