Al Horford (ankle) will not play for Celtics on Wednesday

Al Horford (ankle) will not play for Celtics on Wednesday”

The Jazz had only 0.3 seconds to respond with a three of their own but couldn't and the Celtics stole a gusty road win 97-94.

Brown ended with 21 points and five rebounds to help the undermanned Celtics win their fifth consecutive game and seven of their last 10.

Donovan Mitchell scored 22 points for Utah.

Gobert finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, Ricky Rubio flirted with a triple-double with 14 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds while former Celtic Jae Crowder contributed 16 points and four rebounds off the bench in 29 minutes. The Jazz lost for the third time in five games, and their lead for eighth place in the Western Conference was cut to one game by the Los Angeles Clippers, who beat the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. The Jazz then used a 15-0 run to seize a 69-58 lead. Back-to-back 3-pointers from Rozier and Shane Larkin helped trim the deficit to 85-84. Crowder and Mitchell answered with back-to-back layups to keep the Jazz in front.

Boston kept coming and tied it at 94 on Tatum's dunk with 1:09 left.

The Jazz used a 13-0 run to take an 18-12 lead in the first quarter. Boston missed 14 of 17 shots and scored six total points over the final 8:53 of the quarter.

The second quarter was full of runs for the Celtics, and by the end of it, you could probably call the entire quarter a run for them.

With the game on the line, Jaylen Brown found himself wide open for a three that would give Boston a three-point lead, he took it and made it falling down to the floor and stunning the Utah crowd. The Celtics surged in front behind a 16-2 run, taking a 46-34 lead late in the quarter. Brown put Boston in front with back-to-back baskets and capped the spurt with his second 3-pointer of the game.

With the win, the Celtics have now won five straight and six of their last seven games, along locking up home court through the first round of the 2018 National Basketball Association playoffs. The Jazz forced Boston to commit 10 turnovers in the period and scored 15 points off of those giveaways. Rozier scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter. But thanks to seven points from Semi Ojeleye over the final three minutes of the third, the C's would only trail, 71-67, heading into the final quarter.

UP NEXT: The Celtics (52-23) welcome the Toronto Raptors (55-20) to the TD Garden on Saturday night for a game that has huge playoff implications.
