Acer Aspire S24 Desktop With Qi Wireless Charger Launched: Price, Specifications”

Acer has released a brand-new and very thin all-in-one PC, the Acer Aspire S24. Over the last few years, manufacturers have been launching thinner laptops but it is rare to hear about how slim a desktop computer is.

"The previously announced AIO is making its way stateside with a static configuration consisting of an Intel Core i5-8250U (Kaby Lake-R) processor with 12GB (1 x 8GB, 1 x 4GB) of DDR4-2133 memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 1TB 5,400 RPM HDD housed under a 23.8" 1920 x 1080 active matrix TFT display.

The Aspire S24 also comes with a Qi charger and a free 30-day trial of Microsoft Office, which might be useful if you don't already have the software. The display, which has 178-degree viewing angles, is framed by incredibly narrow 0.106-inch bezels all around, which give the Aspire S24 an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Compare that to Apple's cheapest iMac, which starts at $1,099, has a smaller screen, and less RAM, and you can see where Acer is going with this. It also has an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC (802.11ac 2×2 MIMO) technology provides fast and reliable wireless network connections. The system is also outfitted with Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11ac and Gigabit LAN and comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Other connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, three USB Type-A ports, and a USB 2.0 port. The device sports a black and matte gold colour scheme. For audio, the device supports Dolby Audio Premium and TrueHarmony. It allows users to power their mobile device by simply laying it on the charging area.

If the Windows 10 Home-powered Acer Aspire S24 sounds like your type of device, United States residents can pick one up right now directly from Acer for $899.
