Asia Argento Threatens Rose McGowan with a Lawsuit

Asia Argento Threatens Rose McGowan with a Lawsuit”

Argento took to Twitter on Monday to issue an ultimatum and accuse McGowan, her former ally within the #MeToo movement, of sharing "horrendous lies".

Argento posted a statement on social media demanding that within 24 hours McGowan retract the "horrendous lies" she claimed were contained in the statement. I must inform you & [Rain Dove] that I've instructed Mishcon de Reya to seek substantial damages for deception, fraud, coercion and libel.

Interestingly, Rose and Asia used to be friends and comrades in the #MeToo movement, as both of them played a role in taking down the disgraced producer, Harvey Weinstein. I loved you. You've spent and risked a lot to stand with the MeToo movement.

After the story broke, McGowan said that her partner, Rain Dove, told her that Argento said she had slept with Bennett when he was underage and that she had been receiving unsolicited nude photos of Bennett since he was 12 years old. Anyone can be be better- I hope you can be, too.

She spoke of how she'd bonded with Asia over Harvey Weinstein, adding: 'Asia was a person who understood my trauma in a way that many others didn't.

Dove also noted in another tweet in the thread that they don't regret taking action against Argento by going to the police with texts she allegedly sent confirming she had sex with Bennett and paid him off when he threatened to go public. Be honest. Be fair. The goods on Argento were leaked by Rain Dove, McGowan's current partner.

Previously, Argento said that her late boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, who committed suicide earlier in the year, was the one to pay off Jimmy because he wanted him to stop intruding in their lives.

In her statement, Rose had said: 'Many people believe that because we have been close in each other's lives over the past year that perhaps I am affiliated with this incident or being complicit.

McGowan's representativeshave not responded to requests for comment. "It wasn't fair and it wasn't right". "I got to know Asia Argento ten months ago", McGowan wrote on Twitter.

Argento has continued to maintain innocence after Bennett's accusations surfaced.

"I am shocked, appalled, and disgusted by their representations, mischaracterisations, and attacks", Sattro said in a statement last week.
