Ronaldo to miss all Portugal’s autumn internationals: coach

Portugal coach Fernando Santos said Ronaldo also will not be called up for the next round of worldwide games in November.

"I personally always support my players, and this is not even a question of solidarity, but I believe what the player said publicly".

According to Record, Ronaldo recently spoke to Santos and to Portuguese federation president Fernando Gomes, with the three deciding it is best for the Juventus forward not to be included in the squad through November - though it is unclear if his omission is related to the allegations.

Portugal visit Poland for a Nations League match on October 11 and then travel to Scotland for a friendly three days later.

Ronaldo had said on Twitter Wednesday he awaited the result of a reopened police inquiry "with tranquillity".

"She has decided not to make herself available to the media and stay out of the public because of her emotional state", attorney Leslie Stovall said. In the lawsuit, Kathryn alleged that Ronaldo met her at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel and Casino, and then raper her in the penthouse suite.

He is the country's most experienced player with 154 national team appearances, and its all-time highest scorer with 85 goals.

Ronaldo was rested for the previous global fixtures against Croatia and Italy, and has not featured for his country since the last-16 World Cup defeat to Uruguay.

Ronaldo has played for Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Manchester United in England, Real Madrid in Spain, and was transferred to Juventus in Italy for €100 million this year.

"In the future, nothing is going to stop Ronaldo from being in the squad", Santos said.
