Borderlands 2 VR announced, features 'BAMF' bullet-time feature

Borderlands 2 VR announced, features 'BAMF' bullet-time feature”

The game will even have a few VR-exclusive features, including one - Bad [Expletive] Mega Fun Time (aka BAMF Time) - that will let you slow down time so that you can truly take in all the explosive chaos unfolding around you.

The VR version of the game is nearly identical to the Borderlands 2 we've all played to death at this point, but there are a few twists. Borderlands 2 VR is available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and is slated for a December 14 release date, just in time for the holidays.

Borderlands 2 VR will offer the same Pandora-set storyline of the base game, insane gun variants, and overall experience as the regular edition, however, there are some changes. That means you can expect the same level of polish that we saw in the original version of Borderlands 2 as well as much of the same content.

The first-person view also allows you to intuitively point, click, and drag your way across the game's menus, while driving is enhanced allowing you to move using the joystick and aim the vehicle's weapon using your headset. No word of an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift release has been announced.

Borderlands 2 has been completely reworked for virtual reality.

While you wait patiently for updates on Borderlands 3, 2K Games has some news that might tide you over in the meantime.

Coming this December to PlayStation VR for $50, Borderlands 2 VR features the same storyline with Handsome Jack made famous in the original Borderlands 2, but it includes several changes to better suit the headset. Blast bandits with real-world aiming, punch bullymongs in the mouth, find the ideal gun inside a life-sized treasure chest and inspect it from every angle.

Shoot-and-loot with bazillions of procedurally-generated guns, each with their own capabilities and modifiers. But the game will have a teleporting movement system and a new slow motion ability to compensate.
