Chelsea deny accepting offer for Abraham

Chelsea deny accepting offer for Abraham”

Chelsea have denied reports in the United Kingdom media that an £18 million ($22.7m) offer from Wolves for Tammy Abraham has been accepted, but Goal can confirm they will weigh up his options in the January transfer window.

Wolves have a strong tradition with players of Nigerian descent, in a track record that has included Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Dominic Iorfa Jnr, such that Abraham joining the list might not be misplaced.

Abraham is now on loan to Aston Villa in the Championship and has been heavily impressing in the second tier.

The forward's form has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs including Huddersfield and Crystal Palace, whilst Wolves are reported to be keen on taking Abraham to Molineux on a permanent basis.

The Villans signed Abraham on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea last summer and he has been in sensational form for the club.

The 21-year-old has been on a loan deal to spend the season with the Villains.

Chelsea will make a decision on Tammy Abraham's future by January 14, after it emerged there is a recall option which must be triggered by a set date.

"Chelsea seem very happy, as he is developing as a player and scoring goals in the Championship". For all three parties it is a win, win, win. But it is not in my control.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri recently said he doesn't want to recall Abraham to return to Stamford Bridge this month, saying he doesn't need another striker. "If I was him, I would stay at Villa".
