Frances and Patrick Connolly from Moira revealed as £115m Euromillions lottery winners”

A couple from Northern Ireland are to go public after scooping the incredible EuroMillions jackpot of almost £115m.

London- A middle-aged couple from Northern Ireland were named on Friday as the winners of the entire jackpot of 115 million pounds (146.7 million dollars) in this year's first EuroMillions lottery draw.

He said he checked the results on his laptop later that night and then turned to his wife and said: "I think I've got some good news for you".

"There are no skeletons, there are no dirty pictures, there is not enough to keep us in the public eye", she said.

Frances and Patrick said they would be sharing the £115million with 50 people.

Mr Connolly, 54, said the win felt "unreal" and added: "We really didn't know what to do or how to react and we didn't sleep a wink that night".

The teacher, who has been off work because of a leg injury, has no plans to buy a mansion. "That will be really tough", she said.

After spraying multiple bottles, Mrs Connolly asked lottery advisers: "Who's going to clean all this up?"

Her husband, Patrick Connolly-a businessman who once ran his own manufacturing firm-has made a decision to retire, although he said he would likely be thinking about a new project soon to keep himself busy, suggesting he wanted to use some of the money to create jobs.

Mrs Connolly said when she saw her husband was looking at the lottery she realised they must have won something.

The couple struggled to take it in, even after receiving an email telling them they had won. "I said it must be more than £2.60".

She said deciding how far to spread their windfall would be tough.

Frances Connolly, who worked for an online magazine for the voluntary sector, said: "I've wanted to do my PhD in clinical psychology and I can afford to do it now".

Mrs. Connolly said she meant to purchase a ticket but forgot but husband Patrick saved the day when logged on to the Internet and purchased one lucky dip.

The lucky couple landed the life-changing sum after matching winning numbers 01, 08, 11, 25, 28 and Lucky Stars 04 and 06. "The pleasure for me is going to be seeing people's faces".

"There's no way I'm joining the jet set".
