Troy Tulowitzki wants Yankees to sign Manny Machado

Troy Tulowitzki wants Yankees to sign Manny Machado”

Unfortunately for Philly, however, both Machado and Harper don't particularly want to go to Philadelphia, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, and prefer to go to New York.

According to Dominican Republic sports journalist Héctor Gómez, the "race to sign Machado" is down to two teams: the Phillies and the Chicago White Sox, hence leaving out the once-thought-to-be favorite, the New York Yankees.

Since the Yankees are not in on Bryce Harper (by all appearances, at least), Machado going elsewhere would probably slightly help a dark horse like the Cubs on Harper. That plan could change if they end up landing Manny Machado, but Tulowitzki is still rooting for it to happen.

Moustakas is represented by Scott Boras, who also represents Bryce Harper.

Tulowitzki was taken by Colorado with the seventh overall pick in the 2005 amateur draft, became a star with the Rockies, and agreed after the 2010 season to a $157.75 million, 10-year contract that added $132 million over seven seasons.

Though it was reported earlier this week that the Yankees had not yet made an offer to Machado, Levine says all three teams have - and that a fourth team could be in on the action, too.

After years of consistent losing, the White Sox and their loaded farm system are ready to start winning now. Jay and Machado are good friends who work out together in Miami.
