Tim Cook: new Apple services will arrive year”

"But I do think, looking back, in the future, you will answer that question, Apple's most-important contribution to mankind has been in health".

While the company is most known for the iPhone, they generated a staggering $100 billion in revenue from other products.

Mr Cook also spoke about Qualcomm, the chipmaker it is now locked in a legal battle with over unfair patent licensing practices.

"Look, the truth is, we haven't been in any settlement discussions with them since the third calendar quarter of a year ago", Cook said in his recent interview. "This is, in our view, illegal", he said.

But it's clear that health, and its challenges therein, get Cook excited. According to the federal government, $3.5 trillion was spent on healthcare in the United States in 2017. Apple slipped to the ranking of the most valuable companies in the world.

More news: No. 2 MI stays unbeaten, beats No

"As the dust has started to settle after Apple's December earnings debacle last week, now many tech investors are attempting to model out the different scenarios for iPhone unit shipments in FY19 and FY20 to gauge the worst case, base case, and bull case scenario for the stock over the next year", the analysts said.

Apple has also slowly brought its Apple Watch device into the medical world. First, he may be referring to Apple's new video streaming service, reported on last October, which Apple has already sunk $US1 billion into as part of its larger move into producing original content. Apple is already creating or developing at least 17 original, scripted series, ranging from a biographical drama on National Basketball Association all-star Kevin Durant's life growing up, an animated show from the creator of "Bob's Burgers", and an untitled series from M. Night Shyamalan.

Apple collected $100 billion in revenue from products and services that don't directly come from the iPhone, Cook said. Whatever Apple is planning for its health teams, it's going to be big.

Mr Cook, in an interview with CNBC just six days after a sales warning sent shares skidding, highlighted a "culture of innovation" that he predicted would keep Apple a major force in technology.
