GoT star Iain Glen to play Bruce Wayne in Titans series

GoT star Iain Glen to play Bruce Wayne in Titans series”

Fans of Game of Thrones know Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont, who wants nothing more than to protect Daenerys Targaryen. In season two, producers have confirmed with Deadline that the two characters will play a much larger role in Titans itself.

Upon stepping onto TITANS, Glen is expected to play an older version of Batman's alter ego.

We noted several times during our coverage of the first season of Titans that Batman's absence hampered some of the show's storytelling. Glen's age puts him about the same age Bruce was when he came out of retirement in iconic story The Dark Knight Returns, so him suiting up is not impossible. Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne's relationship in the comics is complex and long-standing, and while Bruce can work as a standalone character (as he has in recent DCEU films), Dick Grayson's characterization feels incomplete without his mentor/ father figure. Incorporating Batman will be rather hard especially in 30-minute episodes but Titans and DC Universe seem confident in their abilities and want to bring to the life the Bat-world.

You can see Glen in action in the Game of Thrones season premiere on April 14, and when Titans returns this fall. No information has been released on whether or not Iain Glen will don the cape and cowl in the series, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Titans follows the superhero squad led by Batman's former sidekick, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), otherwise known as Robin.

If you haven't watched Titans yet, here are a few reasons it's worth checking out. Production on the show's second season is now underway.
