Indian Premier League: Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings in final”

"Can you guys see the blood on his knee", Singh wrote. "He got 6 stitches after the game.Got injured while diving but continue to bat without telling anyone", Harbhajan captioned the picture.

After beating Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings by one run, Mumbai Indians clinched the IPL 2019 trophy, and soon after, B-town celebs took to social media to congratulate the team.

"That's our @srwatson33, nearly pulled it (off) for us last night", he added. The result meant Mumbai became the first team to win four IPL trophies.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, an advisor to the Mumbai team, nervously watched the finale and said Dhoni's run-out was a "key moment".

He said if it was amusing how both the teams kept on passing the trophy from one team to the other in the summit clash.

While commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, based on one angle, vehemently called for Dhoni to be given out, other commentators were not so sure and thought the benefit of the doubt and the inconclusive nature of the replays would see the third umpire rule in the batsman's favour.

Watson, who was dropped twice by Rahul Chahar, looked as though he would deliver victory after he smashed four sixes and eight fours in his 59-ball knock but he paid for a reckless run out when he attempted to get back on strike.

In between those two Bumrah overs, Watson kept Chennai in the hunt by lofting left arm spinner Krunal Pandya for three successive sixes in the 18th over before Malinga returned and quashed Chennai's hopes.

Opting to bat, Quinton de Kock 29 off 17 balls (6x4) and Rohit Sharma added 45 runs for the first wicket, before the mini collapse left MI reeling at 89/4.

Malinga struggled earlier on by giving away 49 runs in his four overs but the last two overs by the Sri Lankan and fellow pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who took 2-14, were decisive.
