OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera is about to get better

OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera is about to get better”

With its triple-lens setup and 3x optical zoom, the OnePlus 7 Pro represents the company's biggest push yet to ditch its status as the maker of just so-so cameras.

The update is said to contain improvements for the HDR effect and Nightscape mode.

The company has responded to this, stating that the next update will bring substantial improvements to the camera. To address these concerns, OnePlus has already cooked up an update that should roll out to devices in a "week or so".

According to a OnePlus staffer on the company's forum, updates are on the way to improve the rear-facing cameras on the OnePlus 7 Pro. As noted in its release hours ago, possible issues include problems with the Ambient Display, SMS issues, navigation gestures not working, recovery mode breaking, overall stability issues, and more, so you are expected to download the updates here and proceed with extreme caution. These tweaks will arrive in future updates.

The camera team have been working all the time on analyzing and fixing issues. "Photos look substantially better", said Jimmy Z., when talking about the update that's being now tested. I believe some of you receive an update when you got your OnePlus 7 Pro.

An update rolled out at launch which, among other things, claimed to optimize photo quality.

In the statement, Jimmy Z admits that pleasing everyone when it comes to camera quality is "an impossible task" as "camera quality is quite subjective and uncontrollable".

Every time when there is a photo sent to us due to negative feedback, our engineers are requested to find the same light condition and object of same color and texture to simulate the photo in order to reproduce the same problem. We recommend that you do not install and use the 2 applications until we fit them to the OnePlus 5/5T/6/6T.
