National Basketball Association bans Warriors part owner after Kyle Lowry push”

The Toronto Raptors regained the ascendancy in the NBA Finals with a strong victory in Game 3 and they will be hoping to extend their series lead when they face the injury-hit Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena on Saturday.

The Warriors said they were "extremely disappointed" in Stevens' actions and apologized to Lowry and his team.

"I've been quiet throughout the whole National Basketball Association playoffs watching every game (haven't missed one) but after I saw what I saw last night, took time to let it manifest into my thinking".

"I see it in some timeouts, but I don't know of any person that's attending the game that isn't a participant in the game a coach - I'm sorry, a player or a coach that has access to the court", Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer told journalists during a conference call.

Thursday's series of events began with an apology from the Warriors and an announcement that Stevens would not be allowed at any more games in this series.

The NBA and the Warriors have joined forces to ban Stevens for a full year and have also fined him $500K. He now owns S-Cubed Capital. The league said team representatives must be held to higher standards, and Stevens' actions were "beyond unacceptable".

"There's no place for that", Lowry said. Stevens reached over and pushed the guard before the two exchanged words. "He had no reason to touch me, he had no reason to reach over two seats and then say some vulgar language to me". We're extremely disappointed in his actions and, along with Mr Stevens, offer our honest apology to Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors organisation for this unfortunate misconduct.

Defensive anchor and playmaker Draymond Green said any version of Durant would draw attention and open up the floor after the Warriors were restricted to 109 points for a third straight game. "There's no place for people like that in our league".

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James addressed the issue on social media on Thursday before the punishment was announced.

"There's absolutely no place in our handsome game for that AT ALL", James wrote on Instagram. "But he himself being a fan but more importantly PART-OWNER of the Warriors knew exactly what he was doing which was so uncalled for", James continued. "A swift action for his actions".
