Kate Middleton stuns in summer dress and espadrille wedges”

Kate, who is a keen amateur photographer, has succeeded the Queen as the figurehead of the body, which was officially supported by the monarch for 67 years. She took part in a workshop today ran by the prestigious organisation in south west London.

The workshop was run in partnership with another one of Kate's patronages, Action for Children, a charity that supports disadvantaged young people through fostering and adoption.

The Duchess of Cambridge speaks with Josh Evans during a visit to a Royal Photographic Society workshop with Action for Children.

Kate started taking official family pictures in 2015 when she took portraits of her daughter Princess Charlotte.

Kate Middleton attended a photography workshop hosted by The Royal Photographic Society, her new royal patronage announced today.

"As a student at the University of St. Andrews, I chose it as the subject of my undergraduate thesis and photographs of children in particular, which feature prominently in the exhibition, are of real interest to me", she wrote in a foreword for a 2018 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

It's now become tradition for the Duchess to share new photos of her children on special occasions, most recently for Prince Louis's first birthday.

"The Royal Photographic Society was founded in 1853 with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography".

Kate also spent time with Josh Evans, nine, from Liverpool talking to him about his new found love of photography.

Kate is already an honorary lifetime member of the society which has previously noted her passion for the medium. The event "will highlight how photography provides a universal language for young people to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings", according to a release from the palace.
