Tiger Woods removed from for wrongful death lawsuit”

"While the situation was tragic, the facts will ultimately show that the cause of Mr. Immesberger's auto accident were the many decisions made by Mr. Immesberger on the night of his passing".

Tiger Woods was named in a wrongful death lawsuit by the family of a former employee at the star golfer's Florida restaurant earlier this year. His blood alcohol level was a.256, more than 3 times the legal limit.

Woods' attorneys announced Monday that the estate of a bartender who crashed his auto and died after leaving the restaurant in December had voluntarily dismissed Woods as a defendant.

The lawsuit had claimed that Woods contributed to the death of an employee who was in a one-car crash.

Tiger Woods, the famous golfer, is no longer the target of a pending wrongful-death lawsuit stemming from the death of a bartender at his Florida restaurant who reportedly had a blood alcohol content of about 0.28 when he fatally crashed his vehicle last December on his way home from work. The 24-year-old reportedly drove his 1999 Chevrolet Corvette off a highway and overturned at around 6 p.m. on December 10, 2018.

Immesberger reportedly completed a work shift at about 3 p.m. on December 10 and remained at the bar until beginning his drive home.

Per Golfweek, Florida alcohol laws say bar owners can be held liable even if they aren't physically at the bar, and only establishments that "knowingly serve a person habitually addicted to the use of any or all alcoholic beverages" can be liable for injury or damage caused by that person's intoxication.

Woods" legal team said in court documents filed this month that the plaintiffs had made improper legal claims "in a rush to sue a public figure'.

Woods commented on Immesberger's death before playing in the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black in May.

Making matters worse, TMZ reported in May that Woods, his girlfriend and his restaurant "The Woods" were being sued in connection with a deadly vehicle crash in which alcohol was believed to be a factor. Speaking before the tournament, Woods did not specifically address the lawsuit, but said everyone involved with The Woods Jupiter was "very sad Nick passed away". We feel bad for him and his entire family.
