Beyoncé to drop new original song from 'The Lion King'

Beyoncé to drop new original song from 'The Lion King'”

"We have all the original songs, but there's a song that she performed and wrote in the spirit of the production along with working with Lebo M., who's part of it with Hans Zimmer", Favreau told Fandango in June. "I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film", she said. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound.

A news release says the song comes at a pivotal moment for Nala, the character voiced by Beyoncé, in the film that comes out on July 18.

On the same, she further continued, "I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline".

The 14-year-old actress promoted her new movie The Lion King, and dished on how she's never met or even talked to Beyonce. "Each song was written to reflect the film's storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation".
