No One On US Women's Soccer Team Wants To Visit WH”

With the United States women's soccer team making its return flight to NY on Monday, it remains to be seen if the 2019 World Cup champions will accept President Donald Trump's invitation to the White House.

President Donald Trump had previously extended a tentative invite to the team whether or not they won the World Cup, scolding Rapinoe for a perceived "disrespect" in the process. She was asked if she would accept a still hypotheical invitation to the White House from President Donald Trump.

She has won a World Cup, along with the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot for the competition, locking in her legacy as one of the all-time greats of women's soccer.

Pelosi's invitation comes after Rapinoe, who drew Trump's ire after previous comments she made surfaced last month that she's "not going to the f-- White House" if her team wins, accepted Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's offer to visit the Capitol instead.

"Everyone that I've talked to, yeah", she said. I really feel like we do this for our group, for ourselves, for our team, for our staff, for our friends and family and for everyone.

"The bigoted vandal scribbled marker over Rapinoe's face and forehead Monday morning on more than six posters displayed throughout the mezzanine level of the station near Sixth Avenue and West 42nd Street, cops said Tuesday. Finish the job!. We haven't yet invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose".

In a series of tweets, Trump responded, "I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women's Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS!".

In addition to being outspoken about Trump, Rapinoe joined her team-mates in bringing attention to the pay gap that exists between men's and women's sports throughout the tournament. We've come a long way, baby. We've had so much support from so many politicians, from so many people there. To celebrate its 2-0 win over Netherlands in the 2019 Final, Team USA will get another ride down the "Canyon of Heroes" in New York City.

It's also clear that Rapinoe will continue to push for social justice.

"I don't think anyone on the team has any interest in lending the platform we've worked so hard to build and the things that we fight for and the way that we live our lives ― I don't think we want that to be co-opted or corrupted by this administration", Rapinoe said, explaining why she and her teammates would skip a trip to the White House.

After the United States win on Sunday, he backtracked on that offer, saying: "We haven't really thought about it ..." Other than the National Basketball Association ... teams love coming to the White House. "We'll look at that".
