Prince William and Kate go head to head at King's Cup regatta”

Prince George watched the regatta with his younger sister, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, from a boat with their maternal grandfather, Michael Middleton, according to People.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to the water and Charlotte could not resist sticking her tongue out at the prize-giving following the races off Cowes, to the amusement of her mother.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been sailing off Cowes, on the Isle of Wight - to raise awareness of the charities they support.

The 10-bedroom mansion was a gift to them from the Queen, and they stayed their full-time after Prince George was born. And that is a great moment.

The couple are competing against a host of celebrities, including comedian John Bishop and adventurer Bear Grylls, on a cloudy but relatively calm day around Cowes.

The event took place a day earlier than planned due to forecast bad weather on Friday.

William finished tied third and Kate finished last.

The duchess, wearing a baseball cap with her hair in a ponytail, sat on the side of her boat alongside crew members for the afternoon of sailing.

The race is sure to see William and Kate resume a competitive feud which saw Kate beat her husband during a New Zealand visit in 2014, in which they went head to head on America's Cup sailing yachts.

The yachts represented causes supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The prince will compete on behalf of Child Bereavement UK, while his three other charities will be represented by the celebrity ambassadors Bear Grylls, historian Dan Snow and English footballer Fara Williams.
