Durant -- Warriors not to blame for Achilles injury

Durant -- Warriors not to blame for Achilles injury”

Durant was ultimately diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles, an injury likely to sideline him for the entire 2019-20 season, and the Raptors went on to win their first National Basketball Association championship in franchise history.

The now-Brooklyn Nets star opened up about the events leading up to the ruptured Achilles he suffered in the first half of Game 5.

Kevin Durant spoke to the media for the first time in almost two months as he sat down with Chris Haynes of Yahoo!

Durant had 11 points in just 12 minutes before leaving the game with an Achilles injury.

Durant is expected to miss a vast majority, if not all, of the 2019-20 season while rehabbing his Achilles' injury, meaning Toronto fans will likely have to wait until next year to offer their own, in-arena response to Durant's comments.

Durant said he is focused on moving forward and making a comeback. Hell, nah. It just happened.

While Durant spoke freely with Yahoo about a number of subjects, he wasn't ready to delve too deeply into the idea that his on-court confrontation with Draymond Green in November played a role in his decision to leave the Warriors.

" Hell, No How Can You Blame The [Golden State Warriors] For What Happened To Me Hell, No." . "We just need to move on from that (expletive) because I'm going to be back playing".

KD Was In His Hotel Room When Game Five Was Going On After He Left With His Injury And He Started To Cry Because It Was Hard For Him To Watch And I Can Understand That. It was only me and Rick (Celebrini, Golden State's sports medicine director) working out every day.

"I don't know. Just like I didn't know I was going to get hurt".

"Hell, yeah, I'm exhausted of talking about that s-t", Durant told Haynes. I was really locked in on my game and trying to get back.

"We didn't have to play together", Durant said of teaming up with Irving.

"Because I wanted to", Durant said.

It was admirable for Durant to return and try to help his teammates win a championship, but unfortunately, it is going to cost him an entire season. 'They got the pieces and a creative front office. The franchise has never won an National Basketball Association title, but Durant never considered bolting Golden State for any other destination. Everybody wished me well, and they know that I'm still a phone call away.
