Wilfried Zaha Told To Expect Fans' Backlash Against Everton

Wilfried Zaha Told To Expect Fans' Backlash Against Everton”

Roy Hodgson insisted Wilfried Zaha is committed to Crystal Palace ahead of their opening Premier League game of the season against Everton on Saturday.

Apparently Wilfried Zaha grew exhausted of the speculations, having watched Arsenal settle for Nicolas Pepe over disagreement on the eagles massive transfer demands.

"You can't control fans' reactions".

"But they didn't feel those conditions were met to trigger the agreement".

Personally, I will wish Iwobi the very best of luck and hope it works out for him at Goodison Park, he never moaned, he accepted whatever role he was ever asked to play, even when out of position and he did try his best whenever he put on the Arsenal shirt.

"The most important thing for us to do in this transfer window was to try and bat off interest from other clubs in Wilf Zaha because there is no doubt that with him, with Tomkins and Sakho returning and with the additions, we should theoretically be stronger than we were a year ago".

"But whatever happens, Wilf will have to deal with that, just as he has had to deal with his disappointment over the last few days in the transfer window. But it would be nice if our fans can draw a line under it and give him the support he needs".

He continued: "I trust him totally".

Iwobi, 23, underwent a medical in London, rather than travel to Merseyside, after agreeing a five-year deal. There is no question that he has any disrespect.

Silva added: 'You can not just have one name, you have some names, we tried the players and the market was hard.

"His contribution really has been huge and I am delighted that he has agreed to pledge his long term future to Crystal Palace". The outcome he wanted was to be sold and leave, but it was the last thing we wanted.

"We are looking forward to him doing this season, what he's done for the last two seasons", Hodgson told Sky Sports News.

But the Palace boss does not believe the club are vulnerable to a bid from clubs in Europe before their transfer windows close.

However, chairman Steve Parish would not countenance selling the club's most valuable asset for anything less than £80 million, although some reports suggested he wanted as much as £100 million.

"All the clubs here know how good he is and are capable of paying the transfer fee, and I'm not sure all the European ones can".
