Princess Charlotte sticks tongue out at crowds, Kate Middleton's reaction is priceless

Princess Charlotte sticks tongue out at crowds, Kate Middleton's reaction is priceless”

"And also Prince George, your first ant you ate today", the Isle of Wight County Press reports Grylls saying.

A number of other celebrities competed in the regatta, including comedian John Bishop.

The 37-year-old looked excited to hit the waters in £150 black, wide-legged pants from LK Bennett paired with a £135 ($A240) striped top from Sandro, while Prince William donned a blue suit.

The message said: "The eight boats taking part in The King's Cup will each represent one of the charities that are being supported this year by Their Royal Highnesses".

The young royal was snapped sticking her tongue out for the cameras during a charity event on Thursday (08.08.19), drawing laughs from a crowd of onlookers.

Kate was bending down next to Charlotte and pointing to the photographers, smiling as she tried to get the child to wave.

But the fierce competition had to be put on pause so Kate could, er, correct Charlotte who stuck her tongue out at the crowd, instead of waving as she had asked.

And in the second race, many boats - including Kate's - were disqualified for not going back and starting the race at the line.

William took the honours again during a visit to the German city of Heidelberg in 2017 when he was victorious in a riverboat race against his wife.

The royal couple finished in third and eighth place, respectively.

William's four causes are Child Bereavement UK, Centrepoint, London's Air Ambulance and Tusk.

The Duchess will support four of her patronages: Action on Addiction, Place2Be, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and The Royal Foundation in connection with Her Royal Highness's longstanding work on Early Years.

Members of the public can watch the race from the SailGP Race Village along the Cowes foreshore, which is free to access and includes an 800-seat grandstand.
