Liverpool's Mohamed Salah comforts young fan floored by streetlamp

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah comforts young fan floored by streetlamp”

Liverpool fan Louis Fowler will remember Saturday August 10, 2019, for the rest of his life, even if he did run into a lamppost.

As the blood began to pour, the tears were very quickly halted as Salah turned his vehicle around and went to check on the injured Reds fan.

The duo took a photo together with Louis in his Liverpool kit and bloodied face as Salah asked the youngster: "Why are you running like that?".

Louis, who appeared on the daytime show with his little brother Isaac and their step-father Joe Cooper, told presenters Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley that he'd lost consciousness momentarily after smashing into the post.

"I was still spaced out so I didn't really know what was happening, but he got out of his vehicle and posed for a picture".

Louis was taken by ambulance to Alder Hey children's hospital, where his nose was reset.

Pictures of Salah giving the thumbs up next to the bloody nosed lad have gone viral.

The family live opposite Melwood and regularly try to spot their favourite footballers.

Mohamed Salah made a young supporter's weekend after the child suffered the misfortune of running into a lamppost while chasing the Egyptian's auto in search of a photograph. Both youngsters chased the vehicle containing their hero - but with Louis' attention focused squarely on his club's star player, he ran directly into a lamppost and suffered a suspected broken nose.

"He'd seen one of the boys had hurt himself and he had the decency to drive back into the close to check that he was OK".

Joe said: "No-one could believe it".

Cooper was extremely impressed and full of praise for Salah, as he continued: 'They were made up and Louis forgot all about being injured.

"Mo Salah was one of the last ones to come out and the boys were waving at him in a bid to catch his attention".

Mr Cooper had a message for Salah, saying: "We wanted to say thank you to him from the bottom of our hearts as he made both of them feel much better". He's a top bloke.

He added that they were "gobsmacked" when Salah soon turned up at their home nearby to check on Louis' condition.
