Ivan Perisic looks set to complete a move to Bayern Munich after undergoing a medical with the Bundesliga champions.

"Ivan will help us immediately with his many years of worldwide experience", said Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

The Inter Milan star was spotted in Munich for a medical ahead of his move, Bild report, and is completing the formalities before a transfer that was reported to have been for a €5M loan and €20M buy option.

Their chances of signing Manchester City's Leroy Sane this summer ended after he suffered a serious knee injury in the Premier League champions' Community Shield victory over Liverpool.

"I'm very glad to be back in Germany", he said.

Having joined in 2015, Perisic spent four years at Inter, representing the Nerazzurri on 163 occasions while scoring 40 goals and assisting a further 37 strikes.

He also helped Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final, which they lost to France.
