Nora Quoirin mystic claims girl was lured away by a genie”

Shamans and European police joined the search for an Irish teenager who went missing from a Malaysian resort and her family on Monday offered a $12,000 reward for information leading to her rescue.

More than 300 search and rescue personnel have been involved in the hunt for 15-year-old Nora, who was travelling on an Irish passport when she disappeared from a Malaysian jungle resort on Sunday, August 4.

In a statement obtained by the BBC on August 6, Nora's family said she "never goes anywhere by herself" and there was "no reason to believe she wandered off and is lost". She has been vulnerable since the day she was born.

"She is here now, so we will stay here tonight to see if we can find her then we can know why she went missing", said shaman Mohd Khalid Mohamed.

In a statement, missing persons charity The Lucy Blackman Trust, says that the money has been donated by an anonymous business in Belfast.

The reward money was donated anonymously by a Belfast-based businessman as the search for the young girl, who has serious learning difficulties, expanded to some 350 people and has now drafted in officers from Scotland Yard, France, Ireland and Interpol.

In a press conference this morning, Malaysian police said that Irish, British and French authorities are assisting in the investigation. "We are appealing to anyone, anyone who has any information to find Nora".

The family are hopeful that the reward may be of help in the desperate search for Nora.

Ms Quoirin added: "The police have been working extremely hard to bring Nora home".

Police believe the teen climbed out through an open window in the living room of the resort cottage, and have listed her as a missing person but do not rule out a possible criminal element.

She and her family, who arrived in Malaysia from London on Aug 3 for a two-week holiday, checked into eco-resort The Dusun in the dense tropical forest in Negeri Sembilan.

A member of the search team offered hope, and told MailOnline: "The cadaver dogs are used as well as sniffer dogs as there was no scent found of the girl in the first few days, ' said a member of the search team".

Malaysian police are now analysing unidentified fingerprints on the window of Nora's room, and on Friday 9 August, footprints were found in the jungle close to where the teenager vanished. "Most important now, the child will be released", he said in the video.

"And thank you so much and terima kasih", she said.
