OnePlus 4K Smart TV will reportedly launch in September

OnePlus 4K Smart TV will reportedly launch in September”

OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant will be anyway foraying into the smart TV vertical this year. This information was revealed by the company's co-founder and CEO Pete Lau in September of previous year. According to MySmartPrice who first spotted the listing, OnePlus will launch the TV sets at the end of September, although it notes that the exact date could change between now and then.

Nearly a year ago, in September, reports, and tiny bits of official information, started mentioning the possibility of OnePlus announcing a smart TV sometime this year.

Little under a year after Lau announced the OnePlus TV, details about the OnePlus TV are scarce. The report adds that the Chinese manufacturers will be using panels from TPV Display Technologies for the TVs. We unearthed that information through Bluetooth SIG certification documents of OnePlus' upcoming TVs.

OnePlus' TVs were spotted in a submission to the Bluetooth SIG, giving consumers a first glance at details about the upcoming televisions since the company announced it was getting into the market previous year.

As for where will the company launch its television, it is expected to any of the three countries -the US, India or China. OnePlus plans to launch its smart TV in at least four sizes: 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. We can't be sure what a unique Android TV experience means, but it could be a combination of customized user interface and apps. Of course, we'd expect OnePlus TVs to have a 4K HDR screen, Android OS and a virtual smart assistant embedded.

According to Pete Lau, the predominant TVs are not offering a well-integrated internet experience and that is what OnePlus aims to ideal through their innovation. OnePlus intends to offer not only premium design but also great picture quality and immersive audio.

OnePlus is expected to go for the online Sales of the TVs by partnering with Amazon in India. But the speculation of its release was finally clarified by the listing of OnePlus TV on Bluetooth SIG trying to certify its product before the launch.

It is also expected that the TVs might come with voice assistant support, with Google Assistant being the most likely candidate.
