At least six teenagers received gunshot wounds after unidentified assailants opened fire at the end of a high school football game in Mobile, Alabama.

WKRG reports that witnesses said the game had already ended at the time of the shooting and there was a fight in the stands several minutes before the end of the game.

Battiste says two people were detained for questioning and authorities "will not tolerate juvenile violence".

That's according to multiple reports.

The victims in the shooting in Mobile ranged in age from 15 to 18, police said.

The shooting, which took place at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, was partially recorded by security cameras.

"He said the victims were transported to local hospitals".

At least four other people suffered other injuries, including one resulting from a seizure, Mobile's FOX 10 reported.

The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday when officers were called for an "active shooter" at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, where a high school football game was just coming to an end.

The game was between LeFlore High School and William High School, WPMI-TV reported, and most of the injured were on the LeFlore side.
