Samsung's next foldable phone will bend into a square like a wallet”

However, a leak from TizenHelp has suggested that the phone will be announced on 6 September, which is also the day when IFA 2019 officially kicks off, with the actual sale commencing on 11 September in Korea.

Specs-wise, the device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with an Infinity-U notch design. On the front side, the phone packs a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calling. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. There are no surprises when it comes to software - there is Android 9 Pie with One UI customization.

According to what appears to be the phone's box, shared on Korean forums, the phone will feature a tri-camera setup (48 megapixels + 5 megapixels + 8 megapixels) on the rear, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and an octa-core processor. Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is Now Official: Snapdragon 855, 48MP Rear Camera Setup and 4500mAh Battery in Tow

The smartphone has been rumoured to be powered by Samsung's new chipset, the Exynos 9610. It is not the first 5G phone from the company since it has already launched Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy Note 10 5G premium phones in the past. Samsung's Galaxy A series is comprised of its budget and midrange offerings, though the Galaxy A90 5G looks to be neither of those. It is available in two colours - black and white.

Pricing has not yet been revealed, but it will likely vary depending on the market. Whatever the final pricing, the Galaxy A90 5G will nearly certainly come in at below the Galaxy S10 5G, which carries a recommended price of $1,299 / £1,099 / AU$1,999.
