Lamborghini Reveals The Stunning 819HP Hybrid V12 Sián

Lamborghini Reveals The Stunning 819HP Hybrid V12 Sián”

It's a first for a low-voltage hybrid with a direct connection between electric motor and wheels.

This is the 2020 Lamborghini Sián, with a hybrid V12 powertrain.

After a string of teasers the Lamborghini Sian was unveiled overnight ahead of its in-the-flesh debut at the 2019 Frankfurt motor show next month. The electric motor itself also supports low-speed maneuvering, enabling the Sián to execute reversing and parking under electric power alone.

Sian's energy accumulation tech is a first too with focus on supercapacitor application. "Its Sián moniker, meaning "flash or lightning" in Bolognese dialect, denotes the first electrification of a Lamborghini production auto and confirms our strong connection to the territory in which we operate", said Lamborghini boss Stefano Domenicali.

Located between the cockpit and engine for optimum weight distrubtion, the supercapacitors are charged during regenerative braking. The electric motor is a very mild set up and uses a 48V e-motor. The hybrid offers an additional 34 hp. In fact, the whole auto has a better power-to-weight ratio than the Aventador SVJ.

Despite adding the e-motor and the supercapacitor, the car's weight has not increased by much. Stored energy makes for an instantly-available power boost.

Lambo says that the Sian will reach 100 km/h from a standstill in under 2.8 seconds and have a top speed of over 350 km/h.

All 63 units, will not only be the fastest vehicles from Lamborghini, but they will be exclusive owing to personalisation/customisation options. But that wouldn't stop the limited editions from being booked already.
