Birds of Prey teaser to be shown in theaters only

Birds of Prey teaser to be shown in theaters only”

Yep, Warner Bros. isn't releasing the trailer for Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn, to give the movie its full title) online, so it's a trip to see the cinema or bust.

The clip begins with red balloons floating on-screen before Harley Quinn jumps in to destroy them with a giant hammer. She smashes the ballons with her sledgehammer before saying, "I'm so f-ing over clowns".

Although the teaser is super short, fans are treated to glimpses of veteran actor and Star Wars legend Ewan McGregor as the villainous (and possibly gay) Black Mask and Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Rosie Perez as the film's titular badass heroines. The female-led comic book movie continues to follow DC's recent vision of having more fun, lighthearted films, like the wildly successful "Aquaman".

Both Birds of Prey and It Chapter are both produced by Warner Bros. The 40-second teaser was shown before preview screenings of "Hobbs & Shaw" before hitting the web. Ha, the former Joker-lover said she's over clowns - before a showing of It: Chapter 2!

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is due out in theaters February 7, 2020.
