Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah alleged selfishness after”

Liverpool star, James Milner, has revealed the real reasons fellow teammate, Sadio Mane was angry during the Reds' Premier League 3-0 victory over Burnley last weekend.

Website The Athletic, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Mane and Salah had already ironed out any potential issues within minutes of the final whistle at Turf Moor.

The Senegalese worldwide was angry after he got substituted for Divock Origi, shortly after Salah refused to pass the ball to him when the Reds had a scoring chance. Liverpool team mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replied saying: "Classic Milner" while Andy Robertson and Nigel de Jong commented with the crying laughing emoji.

However, the report suggests that Mane had "cooled down" by the time he reached the dressing room and acted as if nothing had infuriated him during the Premier League clash.

Mane was left raging after Salah had opted to attempt a trick instead of passing the ball to his strike partner during Liverpool's 3-0 rout of Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Whilse coming off, Mane - who earlier felt slighted after teammate Mohamed Salah failed to play him in - was seen remonstrating and showing anger with the Reds bench looking on bemused.

The German claimed: "I could describe five or six situations where everyone thought, "pass it, pass it, pass it" and then he scored". The boys have to make these decisions: pass the ball, don't pass the ball.

"We can make this mistakes". You may lose the ball and mis-kick the ball or generally you cannot see your team-mate.

"It is not that you ignore him". I've seen it! I've watched games where maybe he could have squared him in. I think you could do it loads of games.

"The most important thing was we got the result, Sadio knows that. I think we need it". We want to improve all the time.

As I said, we want to push each other.

League leaders Liverpool return to action in the Premier League with a home game against Newcastle at Anfield after the worldwide break.
