Thousands unable to access emails after Yahoo outage

Thousands unable to access emails after Yahoo outage”

Yahoo Mail users across the world have been left unable to access their email accounts on Thursday.

"Yahoo is now experiencing a global outage, which means that many of our customers are unable to access their BT Yahoo email accounts", said a spokesman for BT.

When trying to check the main homepage, users encountered the message: "This site can't be reached. www.yahoo.com's server IP address could not be found".

Search and other services still seem to be working but there's no word yet on when the mail issue might be resolved.

"We appreciate our customers' patience as we work to fix the issue".

A user mentioned on the DownDetector's forum that, "No Yahoo at all today but I've never had this before. Anyone know what the problem actually is?"

Yahoo Mail users around the world reported problems logging into their accounts.

Sky, TalkTalk and BT also tweeted to apologise for any inconvenience caused to their customers and that technical teams were working to solve the issues. According to the report from Express UK, it is believed that Yahoo is still down as users are still not able to gain access to their mails or get online.
