Brooke Richardson texted 'My belly is back OMG' after alleged baby slay”

The trial of Brooke Skylar Richardson, a Carlisle woman accused of killing and burying her newborn child in 2017, will continue Thursday morning with more witness testimony from the prosecution. Prosecutors say the death was a homicide. "My belly is back omg I am never ever ever evertrrr letting it grt like this again your about to see me look freaking better than before omg".

"I am literally speechless with how happy I am my belly is back OMG ..." the text read.

"She was determined to keep her secret", Warren County Assistant Prosecutor Steve Knippen said during opening statements.

But Richardson's defense team has argued that the messages have been taken out of context.

Richardson's attorneys have repeatedly admitted she buried the child's remains in her parents' backyard - but they say she only did so after the baby was stillborn and she didn't know what to do with the remains. Pictured the OH teen during stages of her 2017 pregnancy.

He told jurors the teen had started to feel cramping during her prom, but didn't realize it may have been the early signs of labor.

In spring 2017, Richardson was an 18-year-old Carlisle High School cheerleader when a doctor confirmed that she was pregnant. "But she delivers 11 days later".

Richardson, who was a high school cheerleader at the time, allegedly texted her mother hours after she buried the child, said prosecutors, saying she was "speechless" to have her body "back", Journal-News reporter Lauren Pack tweeted.

He said that he was never told Richardson was pregnant and claimed the pair had only had sex twice before Richardson ended the relationship within a month, according to The Journal News.

Prosecutors said she soon began plotting "how to get rid of a baby", even searching the internet for ideas. "I'm going to college", Richardson said, according to Dr Andrew's testimony.

"I can't have a baby!"

But in July 2017, Richardson returned to the office to get birth control.

Dr Boyce recalled this exchange with Richardson, asking her if she was the first person she had told about the baby - to which Richardson replied "yes".

The doctors chose to call law enforcement and authorities would later discover the baby's skeletal remains buried in the backyard.

She then allegedly killed the infant and told no one for months about the birth prosecutors alleged. "They disregard all truth that does not fit into their story". Not necessary clear was the identity of the child's father, why Richardson didn't tell anyone about the stillborn or sought to give the baby away under Ohio's State Haven law- which allows mothers to leave a newborn at designated centers, no questions asked, as long as the child isn't hurt within 72 hours of birth.

The trial is ongoing and could last up to three weeks.
