Man your wallets... LEGO reveals their Ultimate Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer”

It's based on the Star Destroyer we see at the very beginning of Star Wars: A New Hope, and even includes "an attachable, buildable scale version Tantive IV starship" the Empire is pursuing at the opening of the movie.

As the LEGO Group continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars partnership, the Galactic Empire gets the upper hand with the introduction of one of the largest LEGO building sets yet, the all-new LEGO Star Wars USC 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer.

Seems only fitting that one of the largest LEGO sets ever produced be the iconic star cruiser that begins every film in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Created to appeal to the collector side of LEGO fandom, The Devastator comes with an Imperial Officer and Imperial Crewmember minifigure, and a display stand with informational fact plaque so you can make this a "museum quality" display piece amongst your collection.

This particular vessel is the Devastator, Darth Vader's personal transport, and has swiveling guns, a movable radar dish, massive engine exhausts and loads of cool surface detail. There's also a teeny-tiny Tantive IV ship to give this beast some scale.

Take a look at the gallery below to see this beastly UCS LEGO set up close.

The designer also revealed that the set will come with a microscale TIE Fighter, a small detail previously unknown about the set and not pictured in product photos or the press release.

Inspire unforgettable Star Wars: A New Hope moments.

The UCS Imperial Star Destoryer is available in LEGO stores and online. • The flawless LEGO® Star Wars™ collectible for fans of the Star Wars saga. Actually, it might be the only thing that fits on a given shelf since it measures a whopping 43 inches long and is made up of 4,784 pieces. That's granted they have the $699 it will set them back.
