Hurricane Dorian winds wreck massive crane in Canada”

By considerably the biggest devastation induced by the storm was in the Bahamas, where Dorian struck a week in the past as a Category 5 hurricane with 185 miles per hour winds, and then hovered just offshore for far more than a working day and a 50 %, obliterating 1000's of homes.

Hundreds of Canadian Armed Forces members have been deployed to help with clean-up efforts, with more placed on standby.

The decision comes following damages caused by hurricane Dorian during the weekend.

According to CBC News, Nova Scotia was the hardest hit with 211,000 without power.

About 100,000 others in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island also had no electricity.

He and his wife Samira endured the 2003 Hurricane Juan, which left his street without power for two weeks, and now they face the aftermath of post-tropical storm Dorian.

Across the region, residents got to work cleaning up Dorian's mess. On the western side of the island, Dorian continued to tear up trees and yank down power lines.

Nova Scotia officials asked people in the province to stay off the roads so crews could safety remove trees and debris and restore power.

At 1,125 miles away from the nearest land the Azores - an archipelago in the mid-Atlantic - current forecasts from the National Hurricane Center have it moving west toward the United States before making a turn to the northeast, strengthening over open water, then fizzling out.

Hutt asked those without power to be patient, saying she understood many people were frustrated by the company's inability to promise specific fix deadlines.

Boat owners at the Shediac Bay Yacht Club in New Brunswick were assessing damage after strong winds and waves tossed boats around like toys. "We're kind of hunkered down, and we can see all of the trees that are waving around", said Danielle Horne, 32, who lives on the eighth floor of an apartment building in Halifax.

The province's Emergency Management Office was asking people to stay off the roads, saying there have been instances of drive-thru lines impeding emergency vehicles.

There were no reports of injuries in the Maritimes, but dramatic footage shared on social media showed a large crane swaying in the wind and collapsing into the side of an empty apartment building under construction in downtown Halifax.

The Nova Scotia premier, Stephen McNeil, also chastised residents for blocking traffic. He said that "taking the crane down and putting it back up is not a procedure you can do every time there is a wind storm".

The Canadian Red Cross reported Monday that an overnight fire started around a generator being run because of a power outage.
